Vimeo is a tech tool for creating and sharing original videos. According to its web site, Vimeo is “a respectful community of creative people who are passionate about sharing the videos they make.” The Basic service, great for students, is free. Videos must be for noncommercial use only, must be created by you (not public domain or uploaded from other places), and must be respectful to viewers and communities. Videos are organized by Projects, Channels, Groups, and Categories within the site. The newest tool offered is Vimeo Video School, containing lessons and tutorials created by other members who share their knowledge and passion for making great videos.
